Krystal 4000 is made for glass bonding, including glass face-to-face and T-type joints. Its low viscosity and high permeability give a clean glue line.

Krystal 4000 has a low viscosity of 45-65 cps, measured at 25 C on an S14 spindle at 100 rpm, per the Vitrochem TDS. It is much thinner than Krystal 1000, so it wicks into tight glass joints by capillary action where the adhesive needs to flow into a fine glue line.

Because of its low viscosity, Krystal 4000 can be applied by the penetration method: the parts are positioned first, then the adhesive is run along the joint line, where it wicks into the joint before the UV light is applied. This gives a clean, even glue line.
