AFT 1200GF is a 2.0 mm grey acrylic foam tape, the thickest grey grade, for bonding metal, aluminium, stainless steel, acrylic and glass where surfaces are uneven or curved. The extra foam bridges larger gaps, conforms to contours and absorbs more stress and impact than the thinner 0.8 mm and 1.2 mm grades. It suits building facades, truck canopies, outdoor signage and stiffener bonding that need durable, screw-free joints across temperature cycling.

Mightyloc AFT 1200GF has a dynamic shear strength of 3000 gf/cm2 before 20 minutes, rising to 4000 gf/cm2 after 24 hours as the acrylic adhesive fully wets out. Its peel adhesion is 4000 gf/25mm. The figures show how the bond strengthens with dwell time, so leaving the joint undisturbed after application matters.
Mightyloc AFT 1200GF withstands up to 150 degrees C short term and 80 degrees C long term. Its 2.0 mm viscoelastic foam absorbs the differing expansion and contraction of dissimilar substrates through temperature cycling, which suits outdoor facades and signage exposed to wide daily temperature swings in tropical and industrial settings.

Mightyloc AFT 1200GF holds a 1000 gram static load for 24 hours on stainless steel in holding-power testing, confirming it resists creep under sustained weight. This makes it suitable for vertical and overhead bonds where the joint must carry load continuously, such as facade panels and mounted stiffeners.
Clean and dry surfaces before applying Mightyloc AFT 1200GF, using IPA for general cleaning and heptane for oily surfaces, never oil-based solvents. Abrade the surfaces before bonding and prime difficult ones. Apply from one end to avoid trapped air, roll the full length with a J-roller, and press parts together only once correctly aligned.
Mightyloc AFT 1200GF has a 24-month shelf life from manufacture. Store it at a constant 25 to 30 degrees C, away from high humidity and direct sunlight, and keep unused rolls clean and free of dust and grease. Always store tape in its wrapper, and never let one roll sit on another without a release liner between them.
